Speak At a Workshop
Each month, Lady Brain Presents offers a workshop or meetup as a way to gather, learn, and support each other in a safe space. Some of these workshops are member-led, sometimes we invite guest speakers, and sometimes we just go on a hike or have a quick check-in. For examples of topics covered, check out our workshop recaps. If you're interested in speaking at one of our workshops, please read on and fill out the form below!

If you are interested in speaking or facilitating at one of our workshops, please fill out the below form, keeping the following information in mind:
- We prioritize woman/womxn and gender fluid/nonconforming speakers and facilitators.
- Membership is comprised of creators of many mediums so we try offering broad, relevant topics, such as marketing, publicity, branding, goal-setting, storytelling, etc. Periodic exceptions apply, for example, we may on occasion offer a photography or music licensing workshop. We are also open to any topics that support creative efforts such as wellness, vulnerability, social justice, financial management, etc.
- We are a young business with limited resources, committed to offering workshops to members at no additional cost. At this stage in our growth, most speakers have donated their time or traded facilitation for an opportunity to pitch their company/services. That said, we BELIEVE in your value and worth and will do our best to accommodate speaker fees, especially for BIPOC or LGBTQ+ speakers. And if we can't match your rate at this moment in time, we will continue to work hard sourcing funds and will be excited to invite you back as soon as we can!
- We are an inclusive group and a safe space. We will not tolerate racist, queerphobic, ableist, transphobic, or genderist language, or any other type of speech that promotes hate or perpetuates harm. As an example, please refrain from presumptive statements about biological anatomy as it relates to gender identity (even in jest), such as “we know how it is as women in this industry, we all have vaginas.” If you are unsure about someone’s pronouns, it’s better to ask than assume. This is not merely an attempt at political correctness, but rather an effort to practice our values/vision. Unintentional mistakes happen - you won’t “get in trouble,” but we may suggest alternative phrasing. We do this for each other as well, so please do not feel singled out!
- We want to make sure you’re comfortable and accommodated. Sometimes members offer to host workshops in their homes, and sometimes these homes are alcohol and/or 420-friendly. Other times we are at businesses or public venues who have their own set of regulations. Our stance is if a person/business is kind enough to have us in their space, we don’t want to police their house rules. If you have any concern or discomfort, please let us know ahead of time and we will make sure to find an appropriate venue for you. Same goes for any food or pet allergies we should be aware of, or any other area where you may need additional assistance, accommodation, or accessibility.
- Sometimes speakers offer attendees an opportunity to follow up via email about services or to pitch their work in some way. If for any reason a member is inappropriate or unprofessional in these follow-up interactions, please alert us and we will mediate.
- We may photograph/record/stream workshops for transcription, archival, and promotional purposes. The majority of recorded content remains private for members, but some photos and short clips may be posted on social media for marketing purposes.
